The Adoption Center
Mommy & I are in Florida. That was a bumpy plane ride! Wahoo beat me here again & I missed seeing my girlfriend Tina today. So...
I was only in the adoption center for a short while, but it was kind of scary. I had 5 litter mates who needed homes and we were surrounded by a bunch of dogs who all wanted homes, too. Since I quickly learned that it's a canine world, I was concerned. The people who worked in the center were very nice, but I really wanted to be adopted by the perfect set of parents who would love me unconditionally and give me a nice home that would be all mine.
The weekends were very busy & we were on display from behind our cage. Kittens are very susceptible to becoming sick when they are young & I was worried that I might get sick before I was adopted. Some people would walk in and I would pretend to be asleep because I didn't want them for a mommy, daddy, brother, or sister. Other people would walk in & I wanted them to pick me; then, I was a sad when they left without me. Chemistry?!?! I was sad at the thought of being without my litter mates, my snuggle friends. At night, we were all alone, just the kitty & puppy boys & girls who needed homes. This was my favorite time.
More to come... The view from our home in FL is amazing & it's getting dark so I want to a little bird hunting before they go in for the night. Catch ya' later! --AJ the Kitty Boy
