AJ'S ADVENTURES The Life of AJ the Kitty Boy & His Sidekick Marlin I'm a kitty boy who leads an exciting life, filled with daily adventures. I want to help other kitties/kiddies by telling my tales!
AJ's Adventures - The Life of AJ the Kitty Boy & His Sidekick Marlin
Daddy's tournament fishing in Venezuela & Mommy had to go to Dallas on business. So, guess what . . . I got to spend the night with my friends on Wednesday. Mommy didn't pick me up until late last night. I had so much fun with Thomas & Floyd! And, when I got there, I found an extra special surprise. My friend Mary was in town. She's eight and we have so much fun together! Mary is the cutest 8-year old I've ever met. She lets me sleep with her & Hip-Hop, her bear. See how cute Mary & Hip-Hop are!
Mommy forgot to get Grandpa's birthday photo this evening - bad mommy! I'm a little behind on the birthday hat photos. Don't have one of Daddy, Grandma, Mommy or Grandpa. I guess I'm going to have to get my own camera to ensure that I don't miss out on any more great photo opportunities.
Get this . . . Mommy is going to visit my Uncle Will. She will be away on my birthday! Daddy said he would take care of my party. Mommy didn't like that idea very much! I can't believe she's missing my second birthday! I guess we'll celebrate late.
How nice to be able to sit in the kitchen and watch my squirrels and birds while enjoying the stereo and playing on the computer (if only my treats weren't locked away in the refrigerator!!!!!). I sure did miss my computer! What a world of technology we live in, when even a feline such as myself needs a PC.
I mentioned that my friends are moving. Mommy & Daddy are talking about getting me a brother so that I never have to be home alone. If I had a brother, I don't think I'd travel with my parents so much. I don't revel in travel, but they've taken me everywhere since I was a tiny kitten. I've been an only child since I was adopted and I don't know how I feel about sharing my parents, my homes, my pet squirrels and birds, and all of my things. This is going to have to be a family decision so that I'm comfortable with it. I guess it wouldn't be so bad to have a brother, as long as he understood his place. Wahoo is great, but he doesn't always want to play. Maybe a brother would want to play all the time the way my litter mates did. I wonder where they went to live. I hope they have homes as wonderful as mine!
It's Grandpa's birthday today . . . can't wait to get a photo of him in his birthday hat! Happy Birthday, Grandpa! See you tonight!
Big time squirrel activity . . . gotta run! Catch ya' later! --AJ the Kitty Boy
Since I was a tiny kitten, I've been playing with Thomas and Floyd. When Mommy and Daddy are both away on business or when they go to the islands and don't want to subject me to the heat, that's where I go. Mommy & I go together sometimes, too. Just last Friday, we were there for dinner and had so much fun!
This summer, Aunt Crystal, Uncle Chas & my friends are moving to Knoxville. I'm sure going to miss them! Who will I play with? Where will I go? I'm not so sure I like this! Mommy says I'll still see them, but I'm really sad. At least I get to have my birthday party at their house again this year, but they'll be gone shortly after than. I'm not so sure I like this growin' up stuff.
I FINALLY have my computer back so that I can blog again!
It crashed some time ago. Daddy took it to work to have it fixed. Now, I have a new computer, but it took forever to get it. Remember when we talked about acronyms and how my daddy is a CEO. I thought he'd been demoted to JTR - the janitor - because it took so long. Thank goodness Mommy was able to find my baby pictures . . . when Daddy first got the new PC set up, she couldn't locate them and burst into tears. We had a moment of drama in our household.
Can't wait to get you all caught up on my adventures.
Gotta run for now. Catch ya' later. --AJ the Kitty Boy
Hello, Everyone . . . I've missed you all! But, it's been busy . . . Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, Speedy's visit to Atlanta, my computer crashing, and my favorite aunt & uncle eloping. (Sorry, Uncle Will . . . if you came to visit more often, you might be my favorite uncle, but you're always far, far away.)
I need to update you on the events above, but I'm also excited about some events that are coming our way soon. First, Daddy's birthday & Valentine's Day - same day! Then, Grandma's birthday & two days later, it's Mommy's birthday! Be on the lookout for their birthday photos (in hats, of course!). Last year, I sent Mommy flowers for Valentine's Day. I'm such a thoughtful little boy.
Well, I'll get you caught up soon . . . catch ya' later. --AJ the Kitty Boy
Mommy & Daddy left for New Mexico last night & I'm with my alternate family - Aunt Crystal, Uncle Chas, and my friends - Floyd & Thomas. Aunt Crystal picked me up on her way home from work yesterday.
Today's a big day. My aunt & uncle are eloping tonight. No one knows except us kitty boys! They're going to Gatlinburg for a quiet, romantic time together. We kitty boys are excited . . . we get the place all to ourselves. Won't be quiet around here!
Congratulations from your loving nephew & thanks for the kitty time!
So . . . two weeks ago after Daddy let me fly the plane, he told Mommy that it's time for me to have a new harness. I usually wear it when we travel so that I can't run onto the tarmac. Mom & Dad are afraid that I'll get squished! Given the alternatives to not wearing my harness, I prefer to be safe than sorry - probably the only time I don't protest wearing my harness.
Mommy & I were getting ready to go ride the Pink Pig at Lenox Mall today when she remembered that Daddy mentioned my harness being tight so she tried to put it on me before leaving the house. Yeah . . . it's tight, not going around my twelve pounds of power anymore! So, our trip to Lenox has been postponed because my new harness that Mommy ordered hasn't arrived yet.
The Pink Pig is an Atlanta tradition for kids. Mommy doesn't want me to miss out on it so she got approval from Macy's & Priscilla herself, for me to ride just like the other kids. Macy's doesn't discriminate the way the airlines & Facebook do; that's a good thing. I'll have to fill you in on the Pink Pig adventure later.
Gotta run; the squirrels are playful today. Catch ya' later. --AJ the Kitty Boy
Mommy just shared an email with me, that Daddy sent. Daddy is in Venezuela fishing & he had a grand slam today . . . he caught 2 blues, 2 whites & a sail fish. And, guess what?!?! Daddy caught the biggest blue marlin that he's ever caught. He was so excited! Daddy's a good guy; he always releases!
Look at Daddy's 850-pound blue marlin! Way to go, Dad!
I was a little too young last year to understand Halloween . . . people get dressed up and kids go trick-or-treating for Halloween candy. The humans & their hats . . . now, costumes?!?! I just don't get it. Even Mommy participated. She went to a Halloween party with Uncle Ed and Melisa. They ALL dressed up. Mommy was the Spider Queen and kinda scared me; she was the biggest spider I've ever seen. She made Daddy take a picture of us with her costume on; you can see below that I was really freaked out! Uncle Ed is always a pirate. Melisa was a flapper. Seems like they had a good time, though.
